To start cooperation, it is important to consider the minimum purchase volume. This is the basis for effective logistics and organization of deliveries.

The minimum shipment to be ordered is 150 kg that is approximately equal to:

• 6-7 boxes of the HB type - Half box (Ecuador, Colombia) or
• 12-14 boxes of the QB type – Quattro box (Ecuador, Colombia) or
• 8 boxes of the SJB type - small Jumbo box (Kenya) or
• similar volume in different types of boxes, depending on the selected assortment.

Boxes of the HB (Half Box) and QB (Quattro Box) types are the most common for packing fresh cut flowers from Ecuador and Colombia. Some farms use the smallest boxes 1 EB box (Eighth Box) for certain types of flowers, however, they are less popular.

A bundle of two HB boxes is called FB (Full Box).

• 1 FB = 2 HB
• 1 HB = 0.5 FB
• 1 QB = 0.25 FB
• 1 EB = 0,125 FB

Kenyan farms use the so-called SJB (Small Jumbo Box)

It is important to note that in Ecuador, Colombia and Kenya there is no uniform standard for the sizes of export boxes for packing flowers. In practice, this means that farms can use boxes of different sizes, while labeling them as the same type (for example, HB or QB). The sizes of boxes can vary slightly, and sometimes quite significantly. Accordingly, there are fluctuations in the number of packed stems and the weight of the box.
