Flower shipments to the USA

Daoflowers supplies fresh cut flowers from Ecuador and Colombia to the USA. In close cooperation with more than 350 farms every day, we are sure to find a product that will satisfy your requirements and preferences, whether you are looking for budget or premium items.

The minimum shipment to be ordered from the USA is one pallet.

One pallet consists of:

• 18 HB type boxes - Half Box (Ecuador, Colombia) or
• 36 QB type boxes - Quattro Box (Ecuador, Colombia) or
• similar volume in different types of boxes, depending on the selected assortment.

Orders for US customers are formed in multiples of the volume of HB type boxes or equivalent volume in other types of boxes depending on the selected assortment: 18, 36, 54 HB type boxes, etc. This corresponds to 1, 2, 3 pallets, respectively

Why pallets? In the US, delivery to local regions and small towns (from large hubs such as Miami, Los Angeles, etc.) is carried out by local transport companies at a rate calculated for one full pallet, i.e. 18 HB boxes. This format allows to optimize delivery costs and avoid unnecessary overpayments for unfilled spaces on the pallet.

Some farms use the smallest boxes - 1 EB box (Eighth Box) - for certain types of flowers, but such boxes are rare.

An order may include just one or two selected flower types, or a broader assortment — depending entirely on the customer's preferences. However, it's important to reach a minimum volume of one pallet to keep delivery costs efficient and prevent them from having a significant impact on the total shipment price.

If the suggested minimum supply volume aligns with your expectations, we’ll be happy to move forward with a more detailed conversation about procurement. To proceed, we kindly ask you to share an example of your typical weekly order during regular (non-holiday) periods, including clear details on the following parameters:

• flower variety name
• grade or stem size
• number of boxes for each item

This information is required for each flower type you plan to order. Without these details, it’s not possible to begin a meaningful discussion.

Using this example, we can determine which country is the most suitable for sourcing the flowers and completing the shipment.

The cost of your order is calculated according to current market prices. It includes the FOB purchase price of the flowers plus Daoflowers' commission. If you plan to begin ordering in a month or later, there is no point in asking for a price now. We buy flowers for our customers at current market prices that change daily. In a month the price may be higher or lower - it depends on the season, demand and the situation on the farms. Any pricing we provide is valid only at the time of quotation or order placement. We do not offer fixed prices in advance.

Please note that we only process specific requests for the supply of the range of products our customers require.

Daoflowers delivers flowers only to the departure airport in Ecuador or Colombia. Any further transportation to the final destination is arranged directly between the client and their selected transport agent.

Upon request, Daoflowers can provide contacts for trusted partner transport agents who handle delivery to major international airports in the USA, including Miami, Los Angeles, and others. These agents also offer regional trucking services and assist with customs clearance procedures.

Please be aware that Daoflowers does not manage air delivery to the USA or handle import customs procedures, and therefore cannot be held responsible for them. All expenses related to air transportation, import documentation, and any additional domestic delivery (if needed) are the sole responsibility of the client. These services are paid directly to the transport agents and are not included in the flower price.

Together with the shipment we deliver a set of documents, necessary for the client to undergo customs procedures, namely:

• Invoice for flowers that is also a packing list at the same time
• Flowers phytosanitary certificate
• Certificate of origin

If you need any additional documents, please inform us in advance.

It is necessary for a customer from the USA to provide us with data on the consignee of the flower shipment, in whose name we issue a phytosanitary certificate and a certificate of origin required for the customs (import) procedure.

Daoflowers will issue an invoice, to the customers and the prices will include:

• FOB cost of flowers
• Daoflowers’ commission fee.

Due to the regular cooperation with a large number of farms we can provide our customers with indicative prices 3-5 days before the required arrival of goods

When purchasing daily offers from the open market through our online platform, US customers can see the FOB flower price, which includes Daoflowers' commission. This reflects the cost of the flowers only and does not include any shipping fees.
